Impregnation After Drilling

Impregnation after drilling

Some graphite process equipment suppliers impregnate their blocks after machining, leaving a film of resin at the surface. There are two adverse effects. First, it negatively affects the heat transfer coefficients since the resin film acts as an insulating layer. Second, the resin film might peel off after some time and generate black particles. GAB Neumann’s graphite process equipment is totally free of resin since it is always machined after impregnation.
